Bakemonogatari Manga Artist 'Oh! great' Launches New Manga




On Tuesday, manga creator Oh! great said he'll start a new manga called Kaijin Fugeki in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine on May 29. They also made a Twitter account for the manga on the same day.

Before this, Oh! great made a manga version of NisiOisin's Bakemonogatari books, which started in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in March 2018 and finished in March 2023. The manga got 22 books altogether. The original novels are being released in English by Vertical / Kodansha USA Publishing, and the manga started coming out in October 2019. Kodansha USA Publishing just put out the manga's 21st book on April 16.

Oh! great made some popular series before, like Air Gear, Junk Story - Tetsukuzu Monogatari, and Tenjho Tenge, which all became anime. They also did both the story and art for many other manga, like Burn Up!, Five, Himiko-Den, Majin -Devil-, Naked Star, and Silky Whip. They also made drawings for the anime series Arakawa under the Bridge × Bridge and Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, and lately, they designed the characters for the Night Head 2041 anime.
